ENSP: 40 years of dedication to perfection in pastry arts
Founded in 1984, the École Nationale Supérieure de Pâtisserie (ENSP) is now established as the premier international destination for those seeking to learn the ‘sweet arts’.
The campus is located in the town of Yssingeaux in southeastern France, with its recently-expanded facilities occupying the stunning Château de Montbarnier and the new Campus Yves Thuriès within the château grounds.

With a total learning space of 7,000 sq. m. École Nationale Supérieure de Pâtisserie (ENSP) stands alone as the world’s largest center for training in the pastry arts.
In the historic Château de Montbarnier and Yves Thuriès campus, you will be at home in a truly multicultural environment, as each year we welcome students representing more than 60 different nationalities.
More space to practice your craft
In 2023, ENSP opened its new 2,300 sq. m. Campus Yves Thuriès, adding three new classrooms and four new laboratories, as well as creating 36 apartments for students.
Small class sizes for personalized learning
Strictly capped class sizes mean the 17 pastry chef trainers and 25 academic professors offer a highly personalized educational experience. As a student, you will work both individually and as part of a brigade.

Student accommodation at ENSP is either on-campus or a short walk away in our host town of Yssingeaux, enhancing your quality of life. Our campus food court is a great place to meet and build friendships while you enjoy excellent food prepared by on-site chefs.
