Biography
Michal Amsterdam is a pastry chef and an educational counselor in Israël for École Ducasse. Michal studied at ENSP in 2019 as well as in 2022 and her experiences were life changing.
As a kid, Michal felt alive when she was baking so she learnt everything as she could in the books. Even though she was dedicated to pastry, Michal decided to study sciences and she did a software engineer degree. After graduating, she decided to follow her heart and become a chef.
« I asked an Israeli chef where I can learn pastry. They all advised me to go to ENSP. I graduated with my degree and after I applied for the expert diploma, and then enrolled. It was 8 weeks of intense training. I was so happy! Everything was so amazing; I learnt all the techniques. I was in love with what I was doing. I have been searching for knowledge forever and now I had so many tips from chefs, so much knowledge. »
After her training in 2019, Michal opened an online pastry shop and created unique cake designs in Israël. When she was at École Ducasse, the team saw she was eager to pastry and asked her if she wanted to help with students and marketing in Israel. She then became an educational consultant.
